Today we say goodbye to the Beetle (Bug)

After 21.5 million built VW are closing the final Beetle factory in Mexico. I have owned two of these idiocyratic cars in my time and I loved both of them. I always drove them with a big grin on my face. They weren't fast, they weren't full of the creature comforts. I just liked driving them which is all you could ask of a car.

my car doesn't run well, it doesn't have working front doors and it has gaping holes in them, or a hood release(can be done with a few tools), it has slow leaks in some tires, gets about 14 MPG, and in general just sucks.

BUT IT RUNS! so it's awesome. plus one of the mufflers is messed up so it sounds OH SO SEXY!
