OUCH!

Well today has not been a great day. I'm having to work on code for a box at work which has no debugging support other than printf() statements. It's like trying to build the space shuttle with stone axes. Complete madness. Even worse I'm trying to debug a serial protocol which uses the serial port that the console usually uses for those printf() statements. Argghhhh! It's a slow and laborious; edit; compile; rebuild; flash; test; cycle.

This evening I had to drive to York to drop someone off. I did offer to do it but I was very tired and tried to unsuccessfully re-arange it for tomorrow morning before work. I got back after ten tonight, decided to go to bed and promptly walked in to the corner of the skylight in the dark cutting my head open quite badly. I think it was borderline whether I ought to go to A & E (ER for those in the US). I managed to keep the blood under control and used a cold wet flannel to help the blood clot and to keep it clean. There was quite a nice flappy piece of skin with my hair attached but it seems to be scabbing over now. I've had an ibuprofen to keep the pain under control.

I'm very tired so I'm going to try and sleep now.
