Quite definitely the wolf! I often dream of being a wolf. I am usually a lone wolf loping through a northern forest in the snow. Some times my late dog, Ben, is by my side.
The wolf is a pack animal, living in a family unit, but often is alone. It cares for its young well. It is intelligent and resourceful. It is often misunderstood and blamed for 'crimes' it did not commit (Nearly all of the farm stock deaths in the Pyrenees put down to wolves have been proven to have actually been caused by dogs). The wolf is a nobel creature and unlike dogs which are affectively genetically lobotomised wolves (I love dogs by the way but know what we have done to them over the millennia).
Yes a gray wolf would be ideal to guide me through the spirit realm.
