Sunday. Day of Rest, Well Kinda!
Oct. 12th, 2003 06:05 pmGot up just before eight this morning. Spent the next two hours farting about including trying to remember where our swimming cossies were put [1]. The reason being is that usually we (
lisaparratt and I) swan around on a Sunday morning and waste the time. This week is different. On Thursday we did the induction session at the gym near where we work. After which we decided that instead of wasting our Sunday mornings we'd do a session in the gym followed by a swim. The intention was to be there by 9.00am.
Instead, because we are so organised, we got there by 10.15am. I did some time in the training room on the torture equipment. This I am told will tone my bod. The rest of the time was spent on a variety of bicycles, a treadmill and an awful device which I always leave until last because it kills my calves. I'm told it's good if I want to do distance running but I don't like it. I suppose it will get easier as time goes on. I finished off with a few lengths of the pool. I felt good but achy afterwards. Best thing is I burnt off about 500 calories according to the equipment. Yay!
We returned to have a brunch of bacon sarnies and I worked on the kitchen and the washing in the add breaks between this afternoon's marathon of the first series of John Doe on Sci-Fi. It's actually quite good. I like cute inteligent guys which is why I watch CSI and Jonathon Creek.
Our plan is to visit the gym Tuesdays and Thursdays after work as well but probably not include the swim. Now all I need to do is control my calorie intake and I may start losing weight. Yay again!
