I just put my Infestigestion post through The Gender Genie to see what it would say and it says: The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: Female!. I think it's all a load of twaddle but interesting to play with.

Probably is, but despite the accuracy given on the site poll I found it was reasonably accurate with various friends posts.

The stats on their site show that they're only just over the odds of randomly chosing male or female, i.e. 50%. So who knows?

I must "write like a woman" then, as for the clear majority of my long LJ posts (i.e. 75%) it said I was female. Perhaps I should have included more talk about power tools or something?

I think it specifically ignores gender specific nouns etc that can definitely identify the gender of the write and looks merely at the style of the writing. However I think the theory relies a bit on gender stereotyping (that guys are more technical and specific and girls are more empathic and feely) and so probably isn't relevent in the Goth or Pagan worlds.
